Located on a spectacular terrain, the single-story long and low volume house sits atop a hill and blends in with the landscape.
The driveway leading to the house winds through a thick-wooded area, shielding the residence from view. As the car approaches the house, a series of small bollards illuminate the parking area with low-level light.
The house’s horizontal planes contrast with the dramatic topography of the site. Tall sliding glass doors and large terraces connect the house with its pastoral surroundings. Floor-to-ceiling glass walls on the east and west sides of the house provide expansive views of the landscape through the changing seasons.
Recessed pinhole downlights illuminate the living zone without creating reflective glare on the window; allowing the view of the expansive landscape from dusk and dawn.
